About Us

Rosie’s Place is a counselling and support service for children, young people and families seeking freedom from interpersonal violence, including sexual violence and domestic and family violence. We also provide counselling to children under 10 who have displayed problematic or harmful sexual behaviour.

For more information about the services we offer, please visit our main site.

The highest priority of this service remains the promotion of the ongoing protection of children and young people’s safety and well being.

Rosie’s Place adheres to the importance of a therapeutic “wrap around” response to families and, despite the limits of funding and resources, has attempted over the years to build such a model by:
Increasing worker knowledge and skills through professional development and training.
Offering external support and training to other organisations to create a collaborative approach to support families.
Creating many online training/information packages, with many new learning opportunities in development.
